Hello Alain,

I do not know this flare pistol, but the stamp "Bp /Hungarian Crest/ 22" means that it was proofed in Budapest in 1922. The serial number is too high to be an experimental gun, so my guess is this type of flare pistol was used by the Hungarian army after WWI. A rare and interesting specimen.

Kind regards,

Jani (Slovenia)

Hello

It is a flare pistol to compare with the German fliegerleuchtpistol first war, then manufactured by JGA (Anschutz), but in a lower calibre and out of steel.
